Patrick Lightheart: Dark World

In the artist's words: "Dark World" was born from a period of recovery after an accident that left both of his legs broken and his life transformed. In returning to the tactile act of painting with acrylic and decoupage on canvas, he sought to reconnect with his body and process trauma through texture, repetition and stillness. These works explore memory, transformation and resilience, minimal yet emotionally charged, grounded in touch and presence.

Based in Toronto, Lightheart's multidisciplinary practice spans advertising, design, photography and digital art, with exhibitions at Scope Miami @ Art Basel, Edward Day Gallery, Akasha Art Projects, Urban Source Gallery and The White House Gallery, and features in Canadian Art Magazine, the Toronto Star and Apartment Therapy.

See the works in person at the gallery, 1777 Avenue Rd, Level 2, Toronto. We're open Wednesday to Saturday, 11am–5pm.
