About William Perehudoff

William Perehudoff was a Canadian Colour-Field artist. His paintings are defined by their bright saturated colours on great expanses represented by the Saskatchewan prairies. He explored colours, forms, textures and composition within his pieces.

Perehudoff (1918–2013) painted the light and horizontals of the Saskatchewan prairies into some of Canada's finest colour field abstraction. A fixture of the Emma Lake Artists' Workshops that connected the prairies to the New York avant-garde, he is best known for the luminous “AC” series of banded colour paintings.

We have 2 works by William Perehudoff at the gallery right now, spanning 1979 to 1997. Mediums include acrylic. Ask us for prices on any of the works below.
